Argues that the UK is unusually exposed to the Iran war because its electricity is largely gas-fired and gas is priced globally, so the shock pushed up power prices and inflation and stalled expected interest rate cuts. Makes the economic case for wind and solar as the lasting answer, and argues that more North Sea drilling would not insulate the UK.
