About
I'm Henry, a PPE student at LSE with a First in my first year, and co-founder of A* AI.
I averaged Bs when I needed A*s. I tried using ChatGPT to revise and it didn't know my exam board, my specification, or how to structure a 25-marker. So I built my own workflow instead, trained on real past papers, mark schemes and examiner reports. I walked out with 4 A*s and an offer from LSE.
In September 2025 a stranger who'd found my TikToks cold DM'd me. He had a prototype. I'd spent a year posting about how I revised. We launched our first demo in our first term of uni and hit 150K organic Instagram views in the first week, along with our first paying customers. Nine months later we passed 10,000 users, backed by Sterling Road VC, with 30 creators across 4 time zones producing 250K+ views a week.
At 17 I ran the UK and international side of the High School Clean Investment Coalition, coordinating 50+ schools across 11 countries to move endowments out of fossil fuels. I trained 20 school teams on how to engage their own bursars. We secured 13 divestment commitments.
Projects
I co-founded A* AI because generic AI doesn't know your exam board. It's trained on real past papers, mark schemes and examiner reports, so it marks essays against the bands examiners actually use. 10K+ GCSE and A-Level students across 30 subjects in 9 months, VC-backed by Sterling Road, top 3% of 200 teams at Imperial IdeaForge. I run growth and distribution.
Led 50+ schools across 11 countries to move endowments out of fossil fuels and into renewable energy, securing 13 divestment commitments. Trained 20 school teams on endowment engagement, expanding the model into 8 new countries.
